Leading virtual currency platform provider, Coinify, welcomes Hans Henrik Hoffmeyer to solidify their market position
Coinify ApS, an established global virtual currency platform offering blockchain payment solutions, is pleased to have Hans Henrik Hoffmeyer appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer. The new hire is part of the company’s expansion strategy, which includes the onboarding of prominent talents from the payments technology and trading industry.
With his background from one of the largest European Payment providers, Nets Group, he brings formidable experience and expertise on how to operate industrial scale payment systems on a global level. Hans Henrik Hoffmeyer was also an integral part of IBM’s global team in conducting the world’s first secure financial transaction, before joining Oracle to head e-commerce and e-business initiatives. As a corporate entrepreneur, he has also been a co-founder of a number of fintech startups.
“This will not be a new playing field for him though,” said Coinify Co-Founder and CEO Mark Højgaard. “Hans Henrik is the ideal candidate to take Coinify to the upper echelons of the blockchain world, as he has over two decades of experience within the fields of finance and technology. Plus, we secured one of the top European experts in the blockchain regulation space to our executive suite,” Mark added.
As a founding member of the Blockchain and Virtual Currency Working Group, Hans Henrik has been supporting the regulatory efforts conducted by the EU Commission, European Parliament, European Central Bank, and various other regulatory bodies; thus making him a vital asset in Coinify’s plans for regulation-compliant operational advancement.
Hans Henrik commented: ”We founded Coinify on a strong regulatory and compliant business base and as authorities are gearing up regulatory efforts in the blockchain payments industry, this suits Coinify’s compliant approach well.”
As a co-founder and board member, Hans Henrik is not a new face at Coinify. In 2013, he merged, financed and acquired several blockchain payment companies, which were the foundations upon which Coinify was built. He has since been a key player in Coinify’s development, providing support to the company first as the chairman of the board, before transitioning into his role as a board member in 2017.
Danish business and finance newspaper, Børsen has interviewed Hans Henrik on his new role – you can find the article here (in Danish).
