In April Money 20/20 dominated the finance and payments events as expected. Coinify experts were there and they are now ready to participate and share their knowledge at a few more events this May. The formats, occasions and locations where you can meet Coinify are as follows:
1. All the truth about Bitcoins, RadioPizza, May 4, 20:00-21:00
Coinify’s Compliance Officer Joosep Vahtras will join the local studio of international radio station, RadioPizza, to share his Bitcoin knowledge. (And since the very first thing ever bought with bitcoins was a pizza, we see a perfect match!) Together with hosts Monica and Sebastian, Joosep will be discussing What are Bitcoins?, How do they work?, Why should we use them? and similar questions that come in mind between 8 and 9 in the evening. At the end of the show the hosts promise that listeners will not be able to look at their credit card in the same way… We would be like to hear how many listeners will admit to have adjusted their perception of payment system. Hear for yourself and tune into 98.9 FM or stream it live here. The talk can be found as Facebook event here and will be in English.
2. Digital Disruption in Banking, Copenhagen, May 19, 17:00-20:00
Rapid technological innovation, changing consumer demands and new types of competition is just some of the disruptive forces facing the banking industry. How can established banks shape the future of their industry in a time of turmoil, and will Fintech Startups change the fundamentals of doing banking?
This event organised by the Accenture Strategy is intended for students from all universities who would like to gain an insight into the future of banking. Accenture will bring the incumbent and the disruptor together, to share their respective vision on how the future banking industry will look and how they intend to shape it. Coinify Co-Founder and CPO Lasse Birk Olesen will give a keynote on How Blockchain and Bitcoin can fundamentally change banking. The program is rich and besides keynotes by Accenture Strategy Managing Director, Christian Gabe on Digital Disruption in Nordic Banking and Anne-Marie Lise Lyngsgaard from Danske Bank MobileLife, a panel discussion will follow. Thus all curious minds are encouraged to ask questions to the speakers but also to engage in networking with all participants.
Digital Disruption in Banking takes place in Ovnhallen, Copenhagen Business School campus Porcelænshaven. The event is free to attend, but make sure you register no later than May 16 via this link. If you have any questions, please contact the organisers through Eventbrite. We look forward seeing you there!
